Ways To Download Or Save Your Instagram Stories

Instagram has been around for a while and is one of the most popular social media platforms. While posting photos and videos on your profile is fun, many people need to realize they can do more with their Instagram accounts by saving their content.

In this article, we'll show you how to download or save your Instagram stories so you can enjoy them later!

Easy Methods To Download Or Save Your Instagram Stories

Manually save your Instagram story

To save your Instagram Story, you'll need to take a screenshot of it. To do this, open up the story you want to save and simultaneously press the Volume down and power buttons. Your screenshot will then be saved in your phone's gallery.

Save stories in a web-based app

A few web-based apps allow you to download or save your Instagram Stories. Istorify is one option that lets you download your Stories as a video file. Using the Instagram app, you can also save your story as an image or video file on your phone or computer.

To do this, go to your profile page and tap the three dots next to your story. From there, select Save Story and choose whether you want to save it as a video or image.

Archive stories in your Instagram app

When you save or archive a story on Instagram, it means that your narrative will no longer appear in your story section of the app, but it will be relocated to an archive that is private to you. To save or archive a story:

  • Tap on the story you want to save or archive.
  • Touch on the menu of overflow that you can find in the top right-hand corner.
  • Tap Save Story or Add to Archive.

Your Private Archive contains saved stories. If you're unhappy with a story and want to delete it completely, tap Delete Story from the overflow menu.

Highlight your Story

If you want to save your Instagram Stories, you have a few options. You can take screenshots, use a third-party app, or download them from your profile page.
To take a screenshot, press the Volume Up and Power buttons simultaneously on Android or the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons on iOS. You can find your story in your device's photo library.

Several third-party apps allow you to save Instagram Stories, such as Story Saver for Instagram and InstaSave for Instagram. Download one of these applications and login with the credentials of Instagram. Once you're logged in, you'll be able to save any story you like.

Finally, if you have an Instagram Business or Creator account, you can download your stories from your profile page. To do this, go to your profile page and click on the three dots in the top right corner. From there, select "Story Settings" and then "Download Data." Your stories will be downloaded as a ZIP file.

Save your story as an Instagram post

Assuming you have an Instagram account and have already created a story (or are looking at someone else's), here's how to save your story as an Instagram post.

  • Go to the profile of your Instagram account and tap "..." in the top right corner.
  • Scroll down and tap "Story Settings."
  • Turn on "Save to Gallery."
  • Tap "OK" when the pop-up appears.
  • Now, when you create a new story or add to an existing one, it will automatically be saved to your camera roll. To view, go to your profile and tap on "Gallery" below your bio information.
  • Find the story you want to save as a post, tap the three dots in the bottom right corner, and select "Share as Post." You can then edit it like any other photo or video before posting!
